Mathematical Font Art

چکیده

Currently, only a limited number of fonts are available for high quality mathematical typesetting, such as Knuth's computer modern font, the Stix font, and several fonts from the TEX Gyre family. An interesting challenge is to develop tools which allow users to pick any existing favorite font and to use it for writing mathematical texts. We will present progress on this problem as part of recent developments in the GNU TEXMACS scienti c text editor.

Dynamic Arabic Mathematical Fonts

This contribution describes a font family designed to meet the requirements of typesetting mathematical documents in an Arabic presentation. Thus, not only is the text written in an Arabic alphabet-based script, but specific symbols are used and mathematical expressions also spread out from right to left. Actually, this font family consists of two components: an Arabic mathematical font and a d...

Regression Modeling of Reader's Emotions Induced by Font Based Text Signals

In this work we presented a mathematical model for the readers’ emotional state responses triggered by font style, type and color. It is based on multiple regression analysis of the repeated measures from 45 students and for 35 textual stimuli using the Self-Assessment Manikin test. Based on the dimensional theory of emotions, we propose a model on how emotional dimensions Pleasure, Arousal, an...
